Are you a seasoned financial expert looking for an opportunity to impact and influence fiscal strategy at the highest levels? OIT is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as the primary fiscal authority for assigned services, portfolios, or functional units. In this pivotal role, you'll provide critical consultation to management, embedding your expertise in IT financial management—including purchasing, accounting, contracting, budgeting, rate setting, cost allocations, and legislative compliance—into every transaction.You will play a key role in shaping our financial landscape, offering expert insights and helping to develop mission-critical systems, processes, and guidelines that directly support our strategic plan. Your analytical skills will be essential as you forecast financial resource requirements for strategic planning, executive and service manager dashboards, and budgeting cycles. Beyond your individual contributions, you'll collaborate closely with other Fiscal Partners, mentoring them, while fostering a strong environment of knowledge sharing across our finance teams to ensure collective success.Some of your important responsibilities: Lead and mentor other Fiscal Partners, sharing knowledge and developing cross-training support.Collaborate with service owners to develop strategic concept papers for new funding, working with the Budget Office on state budget requests.Analyze financial resource needs for assigned services, providing monthly expenditure and revenue forecasts. Develop and defend OIT's position on new funding proposals before oversight committees.Interpret new legislation for service impacts and assist Service Managers in creating fiscal notes.Provide fiscal authority for assigned services or units.

All remote work must be performed in Colorado. While candidates from out of state will be considered for this role, the candidate selected for the position must relocate and reside in Colorado on the first day of their new position.
