Job Summary:

Mercy University's School of Education Studies is looking for
qualified adjunct faculty members who can teach foundational
courses (e.g., Special Education, Leadership, Secondary Education,
Early Childhood /Childhood Education, Literacy and/or TESOL
programs).

Required Skills & Experience:
• A teaching certificate from the relevant field
• Teaching experiences in K-12 schools
• Teaching experiences in Higher Education
• Experiences in online teaching and learning
• Willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds and
needs
• Collegiality with other faculty members
• Effectiveness in communication
• Skilled to prepare teacher candidates for working with students
with diverse learning needs in a variety of settings

Education Requirements:
• A doctoral/M.S. degree from a relevant field (such as Early
Childhood/Childhood Education, Special Education, Educational
Leadership, Literacy, TESOL, Secondary Education)
• A teaching certificate from the relevant field (e.g., SWD,
Childhood Education, Social Studies)
• Preferred, but not mandatory: ability to teach on the Dobbs
Ferry and Bronx campuses in person during the day
